The Chief Commercial Officer, Haffie Haffner and CEO of Orange Money David Mansaray, embarked on a four-day commercial tour covering Bo, Makeni, Kenema, Kabala, Kambia and Kono.
The aim of the tour was to strengthen stakeholder and customer relations through an open dialogue and to provide an opportunity to engage local stakeholders on Orange’s network modernization project.
The engagement commenced in Kono District, Eastern Region, with a courtesy visit to PC Tamba Amadu, the Town Chief of Koeyo Section.
Chief Amadu expressed gratitude for the visit and stated that the visit marks a significant moment on the journey towards Network development for his community.
The Chief commercial Officer, Haffie Haffner, stated that “Orange is committed to listen and address the needs of its customers and will ensure network availability for the People of Kono”.
In Makeni and Kabala Northern Region, Makeni’s Section Chief of Talent Town, Chief John Turay, welcomed the Orange delegation while urging the company to enhance communication on network-related issues. He acknowledged recent improvements in the network despite months of challenges and expressed hope for sustained progress.
In Kambia District, the Orange delegation met with Paramount Chief Bai Farama Tass N’gbak (IV), the town chief, and the District Council Chairman. The CEO of Orange Money, David S Mansaray stated the primary goal of the engagements was to get firsthand insights on Orange network performance and to understand how Orange can better serve the people of Kambia.
This tour represents Orange’s dedication towards strengthening stakeholder relations to address concerns of our customers and an opportunity for the company to connect with local communities.
The company has invested significantly in its network infrastructure to ensure network reliability while boosting mobile and data penetration across the Country.

The Parliamentary Committee on Trade and Industry, chaired by Hon. Veronica Kadie Sesay, who is also the President of the has concluded its oversight activities in the Western Area and the provinces in the Republic of Sierra Leone on Friday 21, June 2024.
During the oversight visits, the Chairperson revealed that the Committee was inquiring into the level of compliance with the agreements Parliament had ratified in favour of the visited entities and to also ascertain the achievements and positive contributions of these entities in the national economy that are impacting the lives of the people.

The Chairperson for the committee, Honourable Veronica Kadie Sesay said their visit to terminals of their key overnight priorities assigned to them by the House of Parliament in order to ensure that Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) are ideally adhering to the importation, distribution, transportation and retailing of petroleum products accordingly with fair and competitive Business atmosphere among OMCs.
Honourable Veronica Kadie Sesay told managements of OMCs that Parliament is one of the highest decision-making bodies in the country that checkmates the excesses and examines the successes of various, investments in the country, noting that the Oversight’s assignment is not about witch-hunting, but to help streamline some of the strategy objectives of OMCs and to ensure they are operating within the scope and contest of what average Sierra Leoneans expect them to deliver.
At Bread Avenue, Wellington, the Committee observed that Sonoco is the parent company and under its purview are nine other companies, including Bread Avenue. It was revealed that Sonoco is a leading Guinean company operating in flour, and other businesses. The company is currently constructing flour mill at Cline Town that would supply four other countries and intends to provide employment for over six hundred people.
The Committee observed that Bread Avenue has restaurant and producing high quality bread. The Avenue, according to Management, would soon expand its operations to the West and Central Freetown. Finally, at Miro Forestry and Timber products at Mile 91, the Committee observed that the company, after many years in planting trees of various species, is now at its production and processing of plywood of international standards. In addition, the company is also producing high quality utility or electricity poles and edge glued board.
During the sacred month of Ramadan, Premium Divine Trading Limited continued its tradition of supporting Muslims across Sierra Leone through its products. This year, the company embarked on a nationwide distribution of Miski, Cowbell, Onga and Kremela products to 10 major mosques in the country, along with wet sampling in 21 other mosques.

The donation of these products to these mosques has been widely praised by Sierra Leoneans for its nourishing qualities, particularly during Ramadan. On Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, the symbolic conclusion of the nationwide distribution ceremony took place at Masjid Al-Aqsa Brookfields Central Mosque and Masjid Al-Sahaaba Pipe Line Off Wilkinson Road in Freetown respectively.
In his address, Kenneth Konuah, the Country Manager of Premium Divine Trading Ltd, emphasized the significance of Ramadan to Muslims worldwide. He stated that Premium Divine Trading Company Ltd, as a responsible entity, saw it fitting to conduct a nationwide distribution of its Cowbell, Miski, Onga, and Kremela products to major mosques in the country as a gesture of giving back to society.
He expressed gratitude for the continuous business support and growth enjoyed among the Muslim community, viewing the distribution as an appreciation and demonstration of love.
The Country Manager underscored the belief that Sierra Leoneans deserve access to nutritious food products, highlighting the unmatched quality of Cowbell and related items. Konuah noted that this gesture aligns with the company’s longstanding commitment to contributing to the development of Sierra Leoneans and the country as a whole.
He announced the distribution of 500 assorted cartons of products to 10 mosques nationwide, including Masjid Al-Aqsa Brookfields Central Mosque and Masjid Al-Sahaaba Pipe Line off Wilkinson Road in Freetown. Emphasizing the importance of good nutrition for growth and vitality, he praised Cowbell milk as a rich source of protein, calcium, and essential vitamins.
Konuah revealed that Miski product come in various flavours. He disclosed that these products are produced in Ghana by Promasidor Ghana Limited for export sales to several West African countries, including Sierra Leone.
Fawaz Milton, the Marketing Lead, reiterated the company’s dedication to extending a helping hand to fellow Sierra Leoneans, emphasizing the quality and reliability of their products. The Deputy Imam of Masjid Al-Aqsa Brookfields Central Mosque, Ahmed Bangura expressed appreciation to expressed appreciation to the Premium Divine Trading Company Ltd for considering their mosque to benefit from this year’s donation.
He said that the Month of Ramadan is a month of love sharing and that the sharing of love during Ramadan is very important of which he said that the mosque is welcoming Muslims coming to breakfast, adding that the donation will help in that regard.
Sheik Abubakar Jalloh, Acting Imam of Masjid Al-Sahaaba Pipe Line off Wilkinson Road, described the donation as very important in the holy month of Ramadan, highlighting the significance of these contributions, especially during a time of economic hardship, and offered prayers for the success and prosperity of the company.
On behalf of mosque, he applauded Premium Divine Trading Limited for their thoughtful gesture, describing it as a beacon of hope and solidarity during challenging times.
