Multipro Business Facilitators is a Freetown-based gold and diamond exporter and secure logistics company. We work with NMA licence, obtain the Precious Minerals Trading (PMT/GGDO) valuation on every lot, clear it at Lungi International Airport and fly it sealed and insured to refineries and vaults in Dubai, Antwerp, Zurich and Hong Kong. One company is accountable for the gold from the mining district to your receiving vault.

Gold export from Sierra Leone, step by step

  1. Buyer verification. We confirm your identity, source of funds and the refinery or vault that will receive the gold.
  2. Lot intake in Freetown. The gold enters our vault, is weighed and sealed, and a safe-keeping receipt is issued.
  3. PMT/GGDO valuation and assay. The Precious Minerals Trading (PMT/GGDO) certifies weight and fineness. This certificate sets the price and the royalty.
  4. Export permit and royalty. The export application is lodged and the royalty is paid to the National Revenue Authority.
  5. Customs and sealing at Lungi. Export declaration, numbered tamper-evident seals, airway bill and insurance certificate.
  6. Insured flight and handover. The consignment is flown to your destination and signed for at the receiving vault, closing the file.

Secure gold shipping from Freetown

Shipping gold is not ordinary air freight. The lot must be sealed where it is valued, stay under one company's control between vault and aircraft, clear customs with a complete export file and be insured for its full value until the receiving vault signs. That is the corridor Multipro runs: escorted transfer from our Freetown vault to Lungi, secure valuables handling on scheduled flights, and a signed receipt at the destination.

RouteTypical use
Freetown (FNA) to Dubai (DXB)DMCC refineries and vaults; the busiest route for West African gold

Diamond export with Kimberley Process certification

Rough diamonds from Kono, Kenema and the southern alluvial fields are valued and sealed by the PMT/GGDO, which issues the Kimberley Process certificate for the sealed parcel. We export rough diamonds to Antwerp and Dubai with the certificate, invoice and insurance. No rough diamond leaves Sierra Leone lawfully without a Kimberley Process certificate; any offer to ship "without paperwork" is a fraud or a crime.

Why buyers export through Multipro

  • PMT/GGDO assay on every lot. The certificate sets the weight, fineness and price.
  • One accountable company. Sourcing, vault, valuation, clearance and flight under one roof, not a chain of brokers.
  • Verifiable paperwork. Every safe-keeping receipt and consignment reference can be checked with us.
  • Logistics background. Multipro is a freight forwarder, ships agent and supply-chain company first. Secure export is what we do every day.
If a seller offers gold far below the world price, asks for "release fees" before you see the gold, or shows a licence you cannot check with the National Minerals Agency, stop. Read how we buy gold safely in Sierra Leone.
Multipro is a private company. We are not Precious Minerals Trading (PMT/GGDO), the National Minerals Agency or the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources, and we do not issue licences. We work with NMA licence and PMT/GGDO valuation on every export.

Frequently asked questions about gold export from Sierra Leone

Do I need my own licence to export gold from Sierra Leone?

No. Buyers export through Multipro. We work with NMA licence, obtain Precious Minerals Trading (PMT/GGDO) valuation, pay the royalty and clear customs on your behalf. Setting up your own exporter licence requires a Sierra Leonean company and months of processing.

How long does a gold export from Sierra Leone take?

Typically a few working days from PMT/GGDO valuation to departure from Lungi International Airport, depending on the volume and the destination.

Which airports and destinations do you ship gold to?

Gold leaves from Lungi International Airport (FNA), Freetown. Regular routes are Dubai, Antwerp, Zurich and Hong Kong. Other refineries and vaults are quoted on request.

Is the gold insured during shipping?

Yes. Every consignment is sealed with numbered tamper-evident seals and insured for its declared value from our Freetown vault to the receiving refinery or vault.

Can you export gold I have already bought in Sierra Leone?

Yes, provided its origin can be documented. We take it into our vault, obtain the PMT/GGDO valuation and export it under our arrangements. We do not export lots whose source cannot be verified.

What does gold export from Sierra Leone cost?

Four items: the export royalty (a percentage of the PMT/GGDO valuation), PMT/GGDO valuation fees, insurance and freight, and our service fee. Every figure is written into your quotation before the lot is bought, so you know the landed cost per fine ounce in advance.
